What is the Unbreakable Pass?

The UNBREAKABLE PASS is Spartan’s first truly global offering, and it will grant you access to the world’s most epic trails, obstacle course races, fitness challenges, and cultural experiences.

The Unbreakable Pass, a digital NFT, will unlock unlimited access to over 450 events globally in more than 45 countries around the world.

This is your chance to do hard shit in every corner of the globe, see and experience more than you ever thought possible, and optimize your Spartan lifestyle like never before.

Each of the 15,000 NFT passes will provide access for up to 9 years to all of Spartan’s global events. The pass will guarantee the holder 3 years of global access up front, with the opportunity of two additional 3-year periods. In order to qualify for each additional 3-year period, the holder will need to attend all three Unbreakable Events in the previous 3 years.We recognize that attending all 3 ‘Be Unbreakable’ events may not be possible, therefore we will be announcing an alternative path to allow you to make up for each missed ‘Be Unbreakable’ event.

Of the 15,000 NFT passes, there will be 300 Super Rares, which will give the pass holder a GUARANTEED 9 years of global pass access. These 300 passes will also include additional perks that other holders don’t have.

 

Why make it an NFT?

There are multiple benefits, but here are three of the main ones;

  1. Structuring the Unbreakable Pass as an NFT provides the owner with the ability to sell it to others utilizing the existing marketing places in which to do so.

  2. The blockchain that the NFT sits on tracks the effort and experiences of the NFT owner (or owners) over the years, building a legacy that is unique to each individual NFT. Some of these NFTs will end up reflecting a global journey, dedication, and Spartan Life which will blow minds.

  3. The underlying technology has exciting, untapped potential. We believe that utility based NFTs have significant value and represent an interesting future we want to help shape.

Race for up to 9 years!
The Unbreakable Pass will guarantee the holder 3 years of global access up front, with the opportunity to extend through two additional 3 year periods. In order to qualify for each additional 3-year period, the holder will need to attend all three Unbreakable Events in the previous 3 years.

(If you’re lucky enough to snag one of only 300 randomly generated Super Rares, the pass holder will receive all 9 years of pass access, guaranteed!)

Digital Flexibility
The Unbreakable Global Pass is the first of its kind. A race pass that doubles as a digital NFT. If you no longer want the pass, you can sell the pass on the open market using OpenSea or any other secondary market site.

Enshrine Your Name in Ancient Sparta
Those who mint the Unbreakable Pass will have their name live on forever. The Spartan 300 Memorial will be built in Ancient Sparta on behalf of Spartan, paying homage to the Spartan 300. This 35-foot statue will have 15,000 stones circling around it in support of the statue, and each will have the names of the initial 15,000 pass holders. Each holder of a Super Rare will also get a miniature replica of the Ancient Sparta statue.

This is your chance to honor the Spartan 300 and become an indelible part of history in this iconic country to which we owe so much of our modern lives.

Exclusive Merch Drops

Pass holders will have exclusive access to Unbreakable Merch drops. 50% of all proceeds from these drops will be donated to the charity selected by the pass holders at the annual Unbreakable Event.

How do I purchase an Unbreakable Pass?

The Unbreakable Pass, which doubles as an NFT, will be made available for an exclusive “Whitelist” pre-sale, followed closely by a public sale.Join our Spartan Discordserver to enter the whitelist lottery and learn more about discounts, giveaways, and the upcoming launch. (Please note:the whitelist is now closed!)


Once launched, you can purchase the pass with Ethereum or you can pay with a credit card during the minting process. The Pass will be stored in a digital wallet.

 

What wallet do I need to store my Unbreakable Pass/NFT?

The NFT can be stored in the following ways:

  1. Any digital wallet that the NFT owner maintains.We suggest a Metamask wallet. It's very simple to download and It's free. All you need to do is head on over tometamask.ioand download the wallet, add the chrome extension to your computer if you have one, and write down or print out your seedphrase. Do not take a picture of it. Put it in your safe in case you need to access it in the future. You can also download the Metamask wallet to your smartphone and import your wallet as well using your seedphrase. Again, this is all very simple and we will release easy-to-understand tutorial videos for you prior to mint.).

  2. A custodial wallet maintained by Spartan on the NFT owner’s behalf(subject to applicable custodial wallet terms and conditions).

 

What’s a Custodial Wallet?

If you don't have a digital wallet and don’t currently want to set one up, you can purchase your pass with a credit card and Spartan will hold the Unbreakable Pass in a custodial wallet for you. Each custodial wallet will be created with its own private security phrase as if each individual had created their own and will be secured by Spartan. If you change your mind in the future, you will be able to transfer your Unbreakable Pass to your own wallet where you can continue to hold it or sell it at your discretion.

 

What are the maximum mints per wallet?

Early Whitelist allowance will be 2 minted passes maximum. The public sale allowance will be 5 minted passes maximum per wallet.

 

Why would I buy more than one pass?

Maybe you have a friend or family member who wants to join you at events. It could also be that you are buying additional passes as an investment or as a gift for someone. You may be hoping to secure one of the 300 Super Rares - regardless of your motivation, look at the benefits and determine the value vs the investment.Please be aware each pass will need to be purchased under a unique email address.

 

What if I already purchased a 2023 Season Pass or individual events?

The 2023 Season Pass (or equivalent pass, globally) will be emailed specific instructions for how to claim their Unbreakable Pass, at a discounted rate. You will be provided a unique coupon code, which will discount your Unbreakable Pass purchase the amount that you paid for your 2023 Season Pass.

If you already purchased individual 2023 season events, unfortunately, we will not be able to credit any current or past registrations toward the cost of a pass. 

 

How long is the pass valid?

The pass is initially valid for a 3-year period, with all passes officially effective on January 1, 2023, and valid through December 31, 2025 (regardless of the purchase date). Pass holders have the opportunity to earn two additional 3-year periods on top of that. All passes will expire on December 31, 2031. The NFT benefits, outside of events, will immediately start once your pass is minted.

In order to qualify for each additional 3-year period, the holder will need to attendall threeUnbreakable Events in the previous 3 years.

For those unable to attend each year's annual event, or for those who purchase a pass where a previous year's event wasn’t attended, one of the following may substitute for each missed event:

  1. Get 12 newbies to attend a Spartan or Tough Mudder event in the respective calendar year.
  2. Volunteer for 4 full-day shifts at any Spartan or Tough Mudder event in the respective calendar year.
  3. Pay a discounted amount.

 


How do I use my pass or benefits?

Your Unbreakable Pass will allow you to access an Unbreakable Pass-specific Spartan registration page for any event worldwide. To start booking races, create or log in to yourSpartan Accountand select theBenefits sectionon the right side. The only things Unbreakable Pass Holders pay are race-specific taxes and fees (the event registration fee is included with your pass).

Please note:

  • The Unbreakable Pass does not guarantee you entry into sold-out events (you still have to register!)
  • Athletes must still qualify for any events that have qualification criteria (i.e., Championships, etc.)
  • You must be the current Unbreakable Pass/NFT holder at the time of the event, or your entry will be canceled (and no refund of any fees will be provided)
  • Pass holder needs to register no later than 14 days before the event
  • Kids entries are NOT included with Adult Unbreakable Passes. Kids events are included if the child is the owner of the pass. 

 

Can I Sell or Transfer my pass?

Yes, this is a huge benefit of making The Unbreakable Pass an NFT. Being an NFT, Unbreakable Passes are 100% saleable and/or transferable. If you no longer want the pass, you can sell the pass on the open market using OpenSea or any other secondary market site.

NOTE: Race registrations will only be accepted (and honored on race day) for the current holder of the pass. If you sell your pass, all your future registrations for events booked using the pass will be canceled*. 

The new owner will immediately be able to start booking events and enjoying the other benefits associated with the pass.
*Subject to T&Cs in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Can I “Share” my pass with others?

While selling the pass is a core part of the value proposition, “sharing” is against theTerms & Conditions(T&Cs). We’re not going to outline every possible scenario in which someone may attempt to game the system. Ultimately, if your goal in a sale/transfer is to allow multiple individuals to benefit from a single pass - then it’s likely you're breaching the T&Cs.

We’re not going to lay out a set number of transfers or timing between transfers as every circumstance is different. If you’re legitimately using the Pass, this won’t be relevant. If you’re attempting to cheat the system, given the transparent nature of NFT transactions - it’s likely you’ll get caught.

In the event individuals do breach the Terms and Conditions, it is the individual, not the NFT, that will be subject to action. I.e. An individual may be banned from attending Spartan Portfolio events for a period of time, but the NFT won’t have any restrictions attached to it. 


What is the Annual Unbreakable Event?

An epic multi-day event hosted by Spartan founder Joe De Sena at a mystery location. You’ll participate in live training with some of the world's most elite athletes, help shape the Spartan Portfolio, enjoy camaraderie with the unbreakable Spartan community, and feast together daily.

We recognize that attending all 3 events may not be possible so we will be announcing an alternative path to allow you to make up for each missed “Be Unbreakable” event.

Do I have to be an athlete or an existing Spartan Portfolio customer to mint the NFT?


Absolutely NOT! We are an all-inclusive community and want everyone to participate in this digital offering. Whether you want to compete, adventure around the world, or stay inside and get all the benefits from the technology that our NFT will give you access to, it's a great thing. We want the world involved. 

 

What is the “Whitelist”?

Whitelisting is an online term used to describe a list of individuals who have been granted specific privileges. Those who make it onto the Unbreakable Pass Whitelist will be able to purchase (mint) the Unbreakable Pass one day before it is opened to the general public. In addition, they enjoy a special price and guaranteed pass availability (up to 2 passes each).


How many Whitelist spots will be made available?

Only 1,500 Whitelist spots were made available for the UNBREAKABLE PASS mint.

How do I get on the Whitelist?

Our Whitelist is currently closed - no more spots will be made available. 

How do I know if I’m Whitelisted?

Your name in the Discord Server will turn Yellow!
